Ray's connection to Hawaii goes back a generation: Ray's parents met at BYU-Hawaii on Oahu's North Shore, after Ray's dad first came to the islands to pick pineapples on Lana'i. Childhood trips covered all four main islands, and Ray later moved to Oahu for school while working as a tour guide at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Ray founded Lemon Drop Campers on Kauai and has spent extended time camping and exploring Maui and the Big Island — every guide on this site comes from years of hands-on island experience.
