Camp Olowalu is a great choice if you want easy beach access, good snorkeling, and clear views of Maui’s sunsets.

Located along Maui’s sunny west coast between Kahului and Lahaina, Camp Olowalu is one of Hawaii’s most popular private campgrounds. Since welcoming its first campers in 1955, it has become a favorite for families, campervan travelers, beach campers, and groups looking for a relaxed oceanfront escape.

Camp Olowalu offers tent camping, car camping and campervan parking, glamping-style Tentalows, and historic plantation cabins for large group stays.

How to Camp

Camp Olowalu offers four different ways to experience the property. To reserve your spot, visit camplife.com/518/reservation/step1 and see what dates are open.

Sleep in your own vehicle while using the campground’s showers, bathrooms, and common areas. There’s no power or water hookup at your parking spot, but everything else is included. It’s a great fit if you’re road-tripping Maui in a rented camper.
